What are the Google AdX requirements?

To qualify for Google AdX through AdsClap, publishers need an approved and active Google Ad Manager account, recent Google payment history, clean traffic, original content, policy-compliant inventory, and a setup that can be reviewed safely before an MCM invitation is sent.

AdsClap currently requires at least $250 in Google payouts received in the last 3 months (one payment or combined). Fresh accounts with no payouts, accounts pending Google approval, accounts with high invalid traffic, duplicate or disapproved accounts, and low-value content sites are not eligible.

AdsClap's AdX eligibility checklist

Before sending an MCM invitation, AdsClap reviews every application across account health, payment history, and website and traffic quality.

1. Requirement

Approved and active Google Ad Manager account

Your Google Ad Manager account must be approved, active, and reviewable. We cannot onboard accounts that are pending Google approval, disapproved, duplicate, deactivated, or affected by serious invalid activity issues.

Why it matters: AdX through MCM still depends on a healthy Google Ad Manager environment.

2. Requirement

At least $250 in recent Google payouts

AdsClap requires at least $250 in Google payouts received in the last 3 months (one payment or combined).

Why it matters: Recent payment history shows the account has monetized before and has enough activity to review properly.

3. Requirement

Clean traffic quality

Your traffic must be real, stable, and not artificially generated. AdsClap does not onboard publishers with high invalid traffic, SIVT, invalid activity, bot traffic, incentivized visits, or traffic manipulation patterns.

Why it matters: AdX demand is sensitive to traffic quality. Poor traffic can damage revenue, buyer trust, and the long-term health of the MCM relationship.

4. Requirement

Original, useful, policy-safe content

Your site should publish original content that provides real value. AdsClap does not onboard duplicated sites, mirror sites, AI-generated sites, thin content, or low-value monetization pages.

Why it matters: Content quality affects policy risk, advertiser demand, user trust, and long-term monetization stability.

5. Requirement

No major policy violations

Your site and account should follow Google Publisher Policies and avoid restricted or unsafe monetization practices.

Why it matters: Google Publisher Policies apply to anything present on the page or app, including user-generated content, other ads, and links.

6. Requirement

Technical setup that can be reviewed

Your site should be technically ready for monetization review: working pages, crawlable content, stable ad placements, correct domain ownership, HTTPS, and a clean monetization setup.

Why it matters: Keep ads.txt updated, avoid hidden ad placements, and fix malware or security issues before applying.

Who is not eligible for AdsClap AdX onboarding?

INELIGIBLE REASONS

Publishers that are not eligible / can't be onboarded

We will not onboard, invite, accept or work with publishers that have any of the following issues in their Ad Manager account. DO NOT APPLY if you have any of the following issues.

Revenue & traffic quality

We require established payment history and traffic that meets our quality standards.

  • Fresh or new accounts (no payouts yet)
  • Less than $250 in Google payouts in the last 3 months (one payment or combined)
  • High Invalid Traffic

Review, restriction, or duplicate

Accounts Google has not approved yet, or that cannot be onboarded as-is.

  • Pending Google approval
  • Disapproved or duplicate
  • Deactivated by ad manager
  • SIVT / Invalid Activity

Low-value or prohibited content

We do not onboard sites built for low-quality monetization or inventory we cannot support.

  • HTML5 gaming websites — strictly not permitted
  • Duplicated or mirror sites
  • AI-generated sites
  • Thin or other low-value content

AdsClap is selective because weak inventory hurts everyone: publishers, advertisers, demand partners, and the MCM relationship itself.

Google AdX requirements are not just traffic requirements

A common misconception is that AdX eligibility depends only on monthly traffic. Traffic matters, but it is not the whole review.

A publisher with high pageviews but poor traffic quality, duplicated content, policy risk, or an unhealthy Google account can still be rejected. A smaller publisher with clean traffic, real revenue history, original content, and a healthy Google Ad Manager account may be a better fit for MCM onboarding.

AdsClap reviews quality before scale.

Direct AdX access vs AdX through MCM

Direct access is usually suited for large publishers with significant ad operations and a direct relationship with Google. Access through an MCM partner is a practical path for publishers that want AdX demand and monetization support through a partner relationship inside Google Ad Manager.

Common reasons publishers fail AdX review

Brand-new account

No payout history, no stable revenue, or not enough data to review.

Pending or unhealthy Google account

Pending approval, disapproved, duplicate, deactivated, or affected by invalid activity.

Invalid traffic

Bot traffic, suspicious paid traffic, incentivized visitors, abnormal spikes, or SIVT risk.

Low-value content

Thin pages, copied content, AI-generated pages at scale, mirror sites, or sites created mainly for ads.

Policy issues

Prohibited content, misleading layouts, accidental clicks, unsafe ad placements, or unresolved policy violations.

Technical problems

Broken pages, incorrect ads.txt, poor crawlability, suspicious redirects, malware warnings, or unstable implementation.

Wrong expectation

Looking for instant approval instead of a real account review.

Most failed applications are not about one missing checkbox. They are usually a pattern: weak content, unstable traffic, poor account history, or policy risk.
